On my recent visit to the fun places in town, my first stop is always Five Points. It is busy and fun to go out at night on Park Street and visit the shops. Sake House across the street is still the same, has good rolls, sashimi & kitchen dishes like katsu & teriyaki, Aroi has a very unique Thai flavors, like it!. I stopped to Taqueria Cinco, had homemade Mexican style chorizo oaxaca cheese, avocado salsa. It is always fun to visit Five Points in Jacksonville, there aren’t places like this in Florida. Lomax Street with the same businesses, nothing has changed since my last visit last Summer. And I heard there is jazz on Tuesdays on one of them, that should be fun. There is a bar on the roof across from the movie theater, a good place to meet locals and enjoy sport games. It is sad to see that decent top-roof lounge, Black Sheep go. Alewife Bottleshop and Tasting Room is the only one with a nice welcome front, right on Park Street.
